Three quarters of mothers in the Cancer Research UK survey said they would want girls aged eight to 14 to be given the vaccine against the human papilloma virus. The Government was accused this week of dragging its feet over a national cervical cancer vaccination programme that experts say could save more than 1,000 lives a year.
